In the ancient world religious persecution was rare prior to the rise of Christianity - and when persecutions occurred they were limited in their scope and duration. When Christians attained state power, during the reign of Constantine, persecution became the rule, rather than the exception. Persecution of all religions other than Christianity, as well as intense persecution within Christianity itself, became a permanent feature everywhere that Christians were in power
The Christians "borrowed" many things from the pagans/druids.
So I guess it's Merry Yule.....so get over it.
Christianity borrowed pretty much every holiday and even their cross from another religion.
Too bad they didn't borrow a little tolerance.

Yay Happy Winter Solstice - now the light comes back !!!
(the astronomers are always right, huh?)
I dont recall any pagans or druids running planes into buildings with planes or anyone running into building with planes to piss the pagans off....hmm.
so the Muslims don't have terrorists?
Possibly do some research before making silly statements. K
Jim I think so too.
Leah more than likely yes.
My point to this is that yes all religions have bad and good but all religions dont whine and cry that their holidays are the only ones that matter.
Celebrate Christmas or Yule or Hannuka or nothing but dont tell other people that the only appropriate thing to say on Dec 25th is Merry Christmas.
I'm STILL laughing at that one - how loopy. Is that what they teach these days in those kinds of churches? WOW !!!!
