I found this, this morning, while looking for another version of this classic. While I have not decided on a single candidate yet, Dr. Paul does have some fresh ideas, and I thought Mr. McCreary's rendition of this was Gather worthy. 
Twas The Night Before Ron Paul
'Twas one night in December, and all through the land
Not a campaign was stirring, except for one man's.
Bank cards were waiting beside darkened screens,
Prepared for a Party beyond pundits' dreams!
Americans nestled all snug in their beds,
While primary victories danced in their heads.
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just turned off our screens for a long winter's nap.
When up on You Tube there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the keyboard I flew in a dash,
To boot up the Windows and fire up the Flash.
Electrons were humming, the hard drives were spinning,
The lights on my laptop were finally beginning,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a Peace Blimp empowered by a great engineer!
That Honorable Doctor, inspiring and tall,
I knew in a moment it must be Ron Paul.
More rapid than reindeer Americans came,
And he spoke to their hearts like he knew them by name!
"You hardworking people, by taxes oppressed!
Come join in our movement! Be free! Find sweet rest!
To the primary polls! Hear the clarion call!
I say Liberty! Justice! and Freedom for All!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So on to the primaries, his followers flew!
Shouting "God Grant Us Freedom!" and "Bless St. Ron, too"!
"Let's bring our boys home! We've got plenty to do!
We've done far too much meddling, we all know it's true!
Non-intervention's our forefathers' plan,"
Dr. Paul said, dismaying the neocon band.
He was dressed in a mantle of Honor and Worth,
The one politician worth following on earth.
In spite of dismissal by TV and papers,
He cut through the fog of Big Media capers.
His eyes - how they twinkle! his logic so brawny!
He owned John McCain and destroyed Guliani!
Stephanopoulous and Medved have nothing to say!
Watch Charen and Hannity slinking away!
A ven'rable document raised in his hand
Our great Constitution, the Law of the Land.
"Just read it!" he cried out, to one and to all!
"I'm it's champion!" he told them, "My name is Ron Paul!"
He was patient and smiling, the best of the best,
And I chuckle to think how he dwarves all the rest!
Though Thompson, McRomney, and Huckabee vie,
None of 'em's worthy Ron's shoelace to tie!
He needs not a word, his votes speak for themselves,
His congressional history's on all the shelves.
Not a tax has he raised, not a bad bill approved,
A consistent conservative, tested and proved.
He goes out of his way to encourage supporters
Off to work they all fly! shaming media reporters.
But I heard Ron exclaim, e're he drove out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all! Freedom starts fresh tonight!"

Thanks for sharing it, sweetie.
because they make perfect sense, it is because they take
pains never to talk about their larger agenda and only
to appeal to conspiracy nuts and the uneducated.
Ron Paul is a plain spoken bigot. He also says the
government has no business owning land, so all the
national parks should be sold to the highest bidder.
If that means Yosemite gets sold and logged and one
or two trees are kept in order to sell admission tickets
to see them, well, that's free enterprise in America.
People who talk up someone without knowing anything
about what they really stand for are a danger to
themselves, and death to democracy, where the country
depends on intelligent informed people guiding it.
As I stated above, I am undecided on ANY candidate, or party at this point. I thougt the poem was entertaining, thats all. I was not "talking up" Dr. Paul, but I do agree with some of his stances. As for his being a bigot, i am undecided as well. I do not agree with his taking monies from some of the groups he has, but then, I also think all campaign finance should come from a central pool to all candidates, and take all special interests out of the mix altogether.
