Panic

The walls begin to close in

Your heart is pounding ever so fast

The trembling in your hands increase

The door looks so far away

And so many people to pass by

But you have to get out before you explode

You have no idea what is wrong

The fear increase and panic sets in

Standing up, will your legs hold you

The world stops as you rush past the faceless people

The huge door is open

You have made it outside

Away from whatever was inside that tormented you

Cool fresh air starts to revive you

The pounding and trembling is ceasing

Panic and fear is leaving your body

Once again you can breath

What was inside that could cause such fear

Whatever it was you are free from it now

Your soul has calmed down

And you can handle the world once again

At least you can continue to play your role

The one others expect of you
