Toasted Pecans

We love these and they go so fast, so make lots. Mom usually makes some for us for Christmas. Not sure where she got the recipe but they're wonderful.

Toasted Pecans

1/2 stick of butter
one pound shelled pecans
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter on shallow baking sheet, with rimed sides. Add pecans and stir well. Bake 20 minutes, stir after each 5 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Angela, I think the salt and pepper really makes them pop with flavor in your mouth.

Shannon, this is an easy recipe and the results are fantastic.

Susan, they do make great gifts. Mom has done that and everyone who received them loved them.

Carolyn, they can be expensive. We lucked up and got some at a great price this year. Mom and Dad have two trees but they didn't bear any nuts this year. Love it when they do.
