Winter's Gloom (Haiku)

 This is one of those gray gloomy winter days and while I was out and about I didn't see much cheerfulness.  I was determined to give people a smile inspite of the gray day.

Grayness of winter

Implores us to be cheerful

In spite of the gloom

Very nice haiku! The winter gloominess can really get me down -- I have to work to be cheerful (and awake!) on those really gray days :-)

Grey days can be really beautiful. It is really damp and grey here next to Lake Michigan and it feels pretty good out because it is in the 40's.
