Christmas Treats: Edible Christmas Trees

Edible Christmas Trees are a perfect treat and can be adapted to work for children or adults.  They look good as small Christmas displays while you have dinner or children can even make them as a Christmas craft in class.

 To make these easy and tasty treats, you will need:

Sugar Ice Cream Cones

White Frosting

Green Food Coloring

Small candies (chocolate for adults, assorted hard candy for children such as skittles, red hots, etc)

Sprinkles (optional)

First you will need to dye your frosting green. If you're making these for adults, you can go step by step with all the items yourself but if a child or a classroom will be making these then you need to have little containers that can hold small the small candies and the frosting.

Spread the frosting on the cone.

Make sure you frost all the way around.

Next add your candy. This will make it look like you're putting on ornaments. Small candy is best becaue if you add large pieces they will roll off.

When you're done, enjoy your masterpiece. You can do so many things with these. They really are a lot of fun.

To store, you can put them on a plate and carefully cover them up with foil.
