Normally I don't pay attention to polls but I found this very interesting.
The new Gallup poll finds that no other candidate from either party generates as much cross-party fear as Hillary Clinton does among Republicans.
Gallup asked whether those polled would be "excited," "pleased," "disappointed," or "afraid" if various candidates were elected, 62 percent of Republicans said they would be afraid if Clinton were elected. Thirty-five percent of Democrats said they would be excited by this outcome.
Interesting.
Obama has also taken the lead over Clinton in the latest Iowa straw polls. Obama is sitting at a comfortable 33% to Clinton's 29%. Obama represents change and youth.
Congress is basically worthless. They were elected on a "change the direction of the country" platform and so far all that has meant is stand still and do nothing.
Our president and his cabinet are dangerous and lately I have started to question Bush's mental stability.
Cheney is shady. At best. So no change there.
Guiliani's campaign revolves around 9/11. Let's face it if it wasn't for that most of us probably wouldn't know who he was. At least Ed Koch had People's Court.
Romney is too busy defending his religion. Stop acting like a mormon Mitt and show us how a president should act.
The Iowa Caucus' are a little over two weeks away.
Should be interesting.

Dan I'm not afraid of her either. I just wonder why other people are.
Baiden the problem I have with Ron Paul is he seems crazy. He does have a firm stand on issues and doesnt change but frankly he kind of creeps me out...I dont know why.

Bush, May 29, 2003: "We found the weapons of mass destruction."
"The decision to highlight weapons of mass destruction as the main justification for going to war in Iraq was taken for bureaucratic reasons....There were many other important factors as well." -Paul Wolfowitz
April 2003- Pentagon spokesman Lawrence Di Rita tells ORHA officials, "We don't owe the people of Iraq anything. We're giving them their freedom. That's enough."
Yeah, let's talk about liars. Ignorance can only take you so far. There should be a saying like, "you are only as smart as the people you vote for." <----yep, more then 1/2 are idiots in this nation!
ANYONE has to be better then the current administration.
I got over a year to decide, maybe someone will screw up and make the decision obvious.
Meanwhile, more afraid of who is in office now and that they will be there awhile yet.
Who of you has not at one time agreed with something and then turned around and said -- No I don't agree with that now.. I have -- and I'm not afraid to admit and I am not afraid of Hillary of afraid to vote for her .
Obama is the one that instills fear in me.. His up bringing comes into question
I don't envy our President and I pity his successor. The economy is in terrible shape thanks to Bill Clinton's signing of the NAFTA which sent American jobs to Mexico. President Bush gets blamed for it.
I can imagine how Hillary would have handled the attack on the twin towers. "Define terrorism."
The only terrorism going on in our country is the crap we are being fed by corporate owned media! We have become zombies who believe CNN, or MSNBC, or God forbid Faux News! All 100% garbage! Most Americans have never realized that we never did an in depth CRIMINAL investigation into 9/11! Instead, they watch their nighly news, and believe what they hear from businesses owned by billionaires who want us all to be dumb!
We spent less on investigating 9/11, than we did on Bill Clinton's BJ!!! Not a joke...look up the facts! Juliani oredered all steel destroyed before any investigation could be done. FDNY hates Juliani!!!! There is no reason to bicker about Clinton or Bush...they are all part of the CFR, and also meet at the ritualistic meetings in California every year where they do false sacrifices by burning false bodies...Folks,,,these people are part of an elite we have very little access to. Why do you think you see Bill Clinton doing television ads with Bush Senior? Bush junior is just a pwan, and I think he has been breaking under the pressure. He talks like a idiot now in public! You think I'm full of it? Look up some video of him when he was governor! He knew how to speak English back then.
Vote for Ron Paul if you love our Constitution.....I'm usually not very political, but we are at a turning point where we could go bankrupt, and the dollar go to zero worth. The FED keeps printing more funny money, and that is why we pay more for everything on a daily basis!
If you study the rise of Hitler to power, you will see events that parallel what is going on here, and now. an event such as 9/11, then the restriction of rights and freedoms. Then control of the media......then wars under false pretense.....We are currently more fascist than democratic by a long stretch!
Republicans are afraid that they will lose to her.
Democrats are afraid that if she wins, we will have 4 more years (at least) of the crap that we're dealing with now.
I hope she gets the nomination. She will pull the Republicans together like no other candidate can. There's a reason for me to love her ....... the only one.
The ywould like to do away with the middle class all together .

If anyone here is intelligent, and not brainwashed, please consider registering and voting whenever possible. The country needs you.
If H gets elected, my mood will be grim resignation. I don't think she wants to change that which really needs changing. To me, she's the status quo candidate, and I wouldn't be surprised to find Bill playing a significant role in her admin. Don't expect either one to fight for you, me, and the rest of the little people.
The Republicans have good cause to be afraid of running against her, because she already carries a huge block of voters.
She is secretive about some things, and that goes with being an effective politician; especially when in office. She is smart, experienced and strong-willed, which scares the pants off a lot of folks. As President, she would be WAY better for the nation than Bush and company have been, that's a fact, and she would probably be better than any of the Republican candidates could be.
If she were a man, there wouldn't be a single candidate that would be able to beat her in the election.
She is not currently my favorite candidate; and I doubt that Diebold would let her win.
Regarding Congress; it's off the mark to say that the Democrats have been a stand-still body. They have stood up to Bush 43 and his administration on numerous occasions, but their powers are limited, and the powers that the executive branch wield are pretty mighty.
For example; cutting-off funding for the troops does not mean that the President would then call them home. Bush 43 could stubbornly and cold heartedly order that the troops remain in Iraq without funding; and then blame the troops suffering on Congress. The military is legally bound to follow 43's orders.
We should remember that OUR laws give the President control over the military. Congress may attempt to restrict the purse strings in hopes of leveraging a change of decision from the Executive, but they do not have the legal power to force their way.
Bush 43 has already proven that he cares not for the lives of the soldiers; only in that they do what he says.

Amy Klobuchar '08 and '12
Wasn't she a lobbiest for Global Crossing (The Enron of the telecomms)? This is the same lobbyist crook who complained "We Are Now A Government Of The Lobbyists, By The Lobbyists And For The Lobbyists." as the the fortunes of Global Crossing employees and investors were lobbied away.
Wasn't she also the country prosecutor who gave a green light to corruption in Minnepolis City Hall? Didn't it take the federal prosecutor from across the street to send three city council members to jail?
Remember Dean Zimmerman, the coucil member from the Green Party who gave new meaning to the word GREEN (as in money, money, money).
Why did it take a federal prosecutor to put these people away? Inquiring minds need to know.
Amazing how people will howl about corrupt Republicans - then give crooks like Klobuchar and Clinton a pass.
Of course the two DFL candidates for Senate are just as corrupt as Amy. Mike Ciresi got an illegal no-bid contract to sue Tobacco Companies for the state, then bilked so much from the taxpayers, he had to have a judge seal his billing records.
They still remain sealed.
Al Franken put $800,000 stolen from the Gloria Wise Girls and Boys Club of Brooklyn by his cronies at Air America -- into his own pocket.
These guys make Dick Cheney look like a model for morality
There are other choices for VP, but Amy Klobuchar won by the largest margin of any of the possible choices.

has been my signature on four forums for two years running.
While it's not impossible that a Republican could win in Nov. it is highly unlikely. Any Republican is tied to continuing Mr. Bush's disastrous war and the people here are sick of the war and sick of no political progress in Iraq. They are sick of pandering to big business, and ignoring the plight of the common person. The only issue on which the Republicans hold the high ground is on immigration, and there are some very positive signs out there that the states are beginning to act where the feds won't and that it's effective.
That being said, however, the Democrats have a positive genius for pulling defeat from the jaws of victory. It will be an interesting year.
If, like Ms. Klobuchar, a republican candidate for senate had been a lobbyist for a bankrupt corporation that lobbied against its employees and investors the echoes of outrage from the left would still be echoing throughout the countryside.
But like with Hillary --- outrage can be highly selective and utterly political.
