ALEXANDRIA, VA. --- The Media Research Center today awarded McClatchy News Service the dis-honor of the worst Notable Quotable of 2007, for a headline trying its best to contort good Iraq news into bad: "As violence falls in Iraq, cemetery workers feel the pinch" (October 16, 2007).

I missed this one when it first came out but I have to say this is some kind of skill to come up with this idiotic headline. Someone had to have worked long and hard to find this horrible consequence of Iraq. And it's not even because of the violence. They have actually found a negative point in the deaths of fewer people.

This is media insanity at it's finest . What do you think?
