So my daughter (the almost five year old) informed me that we had to bake cookies for Santa. I suggested that we could buy some cookies (not that I really intended to do this but I knew she would be displeased at the thought and I couldn't pass up a chance to tease her just a little bit :-) She was, as expected, properly horrified :-) But then she informed me that Santa will only eat sugar cookies with sprinkles -- really? I always put out Chocolate Chip cookies for Santa as a kid. Since when did he convert to sugar cookies with sprinkles? Hmm, maybe it's because some little girls think it's more fun to make cookies with sprinkles?! So the debate has been going on for a couple days now about what cookies Santa prefers, Alex will (of course) get to make the cookies for Santa but its been fun debate in our household.
So I thought I'd ask here as well -- what cookies do you (or would you if you were so inclined) put out for Santa?
And by the way, Alex insists that Santa only drinks chocolate milk, in case you were wondering :-)

A quick shot of my outdoor tree!
Now I am scared what James will say on Santa when he is alittle older lol
ANd last year we also left Tea out for santa instead of milk-- MY son was worried that santa might get sick after being in the cold all night long:)
And dont forget to leave a carrot for the raindeer!
We don't have youngsters either so we haven't put out cookies in years. I haven't made any yet and I don't think I am going to get a chance to but if I do I guarantee Santa won't be seeing any of them. LOL
Happy holidays.
In our house last night, Santa got cut out sugar cookies with the sugar sprinkled on top and egg nog. Oh and carrots for the reindeer too.
