This has always been another one of those family favorites. I am not a big fan of the liquor I use (Wild Turkey 101) so I don't eat many of them, but everyone else does! This year I made two different batches, one using the Wild turkey 101 and the other using Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Coconut Rum.
LIQUOR BALLS
- ½ lb. vanilla wafers
- 1 C. chopped walnuts or pecans
- ½ C. seedless raisins chopped
- ½ C. chopped dates
- 1 T. cocoa
- ¼ C. bourbon or rum
- ½ C. light corn syrup
- Powdered sugar
Combine all ingredients (except powdered sugar). Roll into walnut size balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Store in tightly covered container. Makes 36.
WARNING!!
Since these do not get cooked or baked, the alcohol will stay in them, so don't eat and drive!!
