Before I head over there, I just wanted to thank you for using this route to call attention to something.

I deplore mass emails.

I love your mode of operation. I hate Mass Emails...but love to find little nuggets like this recommended by good friends.

Wilma, I can't thank you enough for directing us to Sandy's article. It is truly inspirational and hopeful. Too, sometimes it is so easy to say all the things we can't change, but we can always change our hearts, and we can always try to put a smile on for someone. Have you ever thought about that? Have you ever been in a store and something horrible has happened and you are still trying to get groceries or something and this one person says something nice or smiles, and though your heart is heavy, almost unbearably heavy, you have been given just a little bit more energy to carry that heart and see your way through just a little bit better. And all because someone smiled and/or said a kind word. Often, that is all it takes to turn a situation around. This is one of the best articles I have ever read. It was a blessing to have been able to read it.

You are a good skate Wilma, have you heard that one lately, I have just gotten home in the last half hour, don't even ask, more car things, and I almost froze hands off trying to get three inches of ice off my winshield, which I drove around with but it is supposed to rain or something in the morning and I have an eleven o'clock appointment with my cardiologist, hope I didn't just kill myself, lol, I thought Billy would be sleeping and when I came in he was up and yelled at me for doing it, and I had to run my hands under cold water for a few minutes and they are still stinging. Mark's transmission is shot, so I went out at 8:30 and we dropped his car off, and since neither of us had eaten went to a diner and had a sandwich and I have half of it for tomorrow, I often wonder when I see the size of people that eat in diners, is it because they eat all that is given them, I think they think everyone that comes in is a truck driver. The portions are enormous, but they had no chocolate ants or fleas, so I wasn't all that impressed. And I believe I have been to Sandy's piece already, but going to check it out anyway. You are a sweetheart to do it this way Wilma, and thanks for the comment on my grandkids poem, I couldn't think of a thing to do with those words, lol. take care

no time to read right now just stopping by to say I am not THAT OLD!!!! hahahahahahahha

I'm going to try to go read the article, but mostly I'm just checking in with you. I am trying to empty the camera in the evenings a post little things...but, finding time to comment and read has been almost impossible. It is surprising how much I miss my Gather pals...hope all is well on your end, you know the no news is good news type of good. I'm off to bed, my parents leave early in the morning to head to my house...my mom is struggling with this one. She hates to leave me, the warmer weather, and get on the highway...and now, she is afraid of being robbed. They will still be there when we get home next week!

Miz Wilma - I'm sorry I havent' been around lately to comment on your articles and you know I'll catch up on them as you are one of my favorite Gather sistahs. I have a bunch and you all know who you are because usually I get into your space and you have to almost kick me out - I like to sit around and have tea and biscuits and hear everything about you and the kids and all that - ok ok - anyway, thanks so much for the link and when I get back to civilization, I shall print it out as it sounds like something that I need to read - I always look for messages! Are you still sleeping Wilma??? I am about ready to just kick back myself ! ~ After I eat some scones that my cousins gave me for Christmas. I baked them up and I'll bet they're good for you since my cousin is a doctor and very health conscious!!!

Anytime you want me to read something, just come to the cafe and tell me or send a private email and I will come to your page. I usually go to my private email to see if my friends have sent something. They are important to me. The mass emails, I may check if I am not to busy.
