I have read a few articles on here about free cycle and wonder what your take is on it. Even if you're not currently a connection I would invite your thoughts on this and how you have or would imagine yourself using a tool like this:

It seems like a lot of people sit and wait for freecycle offers. It is hard to get things too.
All in all, I feel like our freecycle is a waste of my time. I hate it but like it better when I lived in Cali.
There is none really close to me though.
I have gotten a sewing machine and some kids clothes off free cycle. I have also given a lot of things away on free cycle, including bunnies.
I find that there are more people asking for things than those who offer things. They seem to ask for things like campers, boats and stuff like that. Weird.
And even then, I offered the red hamster cedar. Dwarf hamsters lungs cannot handle the red, but 2 new bags, for free, sat here, and then ending up going to a neighbor that I saw buying bags of the red at the store.
It's a great way to get rid of things without them ending up in a landfill some place. Check your local group. Some are better than others.
My group actually had a falling out with freecycle.org and broke away to a Recycle group based locally. So check that out, too.
It's a good thing though if you can help others and unload your unwanted junk at the same time :)
Here we take all of it sorted to a dump and recycle area.
