Yesterday morning, my daughter had some errands to run and asked me to babysit the kids. I gladly accepted! I had all my baking done and still needed to decorate my sugar cookies, mess that they turned out to be! For some reason, they didn't hold their shape this year and turned into blobs in the oven. They still taste good, but they just aren't pretty shapes this year. Oh well. My granddaughter didn't care. She just wanted to help me!
Here is Samantha in an adult apron. I had to tie the neck strap to keep up it over her shirt, fold up the middle of the apron and wrap the ties around her two or three times so she wouldn't trip over the bottom of it!

Hmmm...green sugar crystals this time, perhaps? I am tired of using all those colorful Jimmies!

Yep. Green looks good to me!

Maybe yellow this time around.

Yep. Yellow works nicely.

My handy work on all the sugar cookies that MawMaw baked. She would never had gotten it all done without my help!

Oops! Caught red handed sampling the cookies!

Samantha had a blast decorating the cookies. I even sent her home with her own container of cookies that she doesn't have to share with anyone if she doesn't want too!
Here are some pictures of the other cookies that I made this year, including my husband's favorite which is not a cookie: Maple Sugared Pecans

Raspberry Jam Cookies. These are a bar cookie. My duaghter was dissapointed that I only made a double batch. It is a good thing I bought enough stuff to make another double batch after she got into them!

Chocolate No-Bake Cookies. These are more like a candy than a cookie, but still a favorite of mine!

Liquor Balls. I made two seperate batches of these. The first one I used the typical Wild Turkey 101. In the second batch, I used Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Coconut Rum. Now if only I can keep my daughter out of these! LOL

These are the Cake Mix Cookie VIII. I made these Saturday and they are still soft and gooey today!

I also made two kinds of Hungarian Kifli: Poppyseed and blueberry. These are another favorite of mine and my daughter's.

Now, if only I can keep everyone out of them so I can have them all to myself! LOL
