Franklin School Carnival: Photo Essay

The Franklin Elementary School Carnival was last May (hey I'm only a few months behind in posting this!) and I took my two school age kids to it. They sold wrist bands for $5.00 dollars and you could hit all the booths as many times as you wanted. Here are some photos from it.

Cupcakes I made for the cake walk. I put 6 cupcakes per box and made sure that there was one of each (or more) in each box.

I loved the carnivals that my kids' elementary used to hold before the new principal was all about raising the test scores and doing away with all the fun stuff :-( Your carnival was awesome! A horse and buggy? That was beyond cool! I used to make cakes for the cakewalk too - super fun because you can be super gaudy and that just makes them more attractive to the kids. Your cupcakes are little works of art. Your kids must be as proud of you as you are of them. Their smiles were so genuine.

Looks like a lot of fun was had by all, Shannon. What a neat idea! I might use some of these ideas for my next fun activity with the kids at church. Your cupcakes were amazing as usual, CUPCAKE QUEEN! Hehe. That's going to be my nickname for you. LOL

That looks like fun. It reminds me of the fall carnivals we had when I was kid. My favorite game was the duck pond.

Great picture essay. I used to love the little school canivals when my daughter was in elementry school. I do miss them sometimes too. The kids all seem to have such a good time at these little functions.
