Hi everyone! I know I'm awfully late making the rounds today (and more often lately) but there is a lot going on with holidays and all. Some days I'm more with it and others I'm just dazed. If I don't get that job I'll be more available after the New Year comes but if I'm hired it will be the opposite. Either way, I'm good with it.
Anyway, today I took the liberty of watching a cute kids movie, Ratatouille. The kid at the video store next door to where my oldest daughter works is sweet on her so he brings her movies and gives her rides and stuff. Nice boy...
Anyway... back to the movie. I really enjoyed it, and I rarely indulge in this sort of movie as I am more interested in historical material these days... old black & white movies, comedies, dramas, war movies... documentaries and those based upon historic facts and situations.
The main reason I like this movie is because it hails back to the good old days when movies had a moral and a message. In this case, about art and where it comes from. I'd definitely recommend it as a pleasant diversion - but if you've just had surgery or for some other reason it hurts to laugh, you might want to skip it. Not usually one to LOL often, in this case I did at least twice if not more.
All that aside now, my question today is about your leisure time. What do you like to do for fun? What is/are your hobby(ies)? I'm curious to see what a diverse range of answers this one draws from those who are around to respond.
To the others... I hope they're safe in their shopping and travels!
Ah... travels. If I were a "lady of leisure" I suppose that is what I would do most. What about you?

1) The 28-hour day.
2) A new technology called "SINGLEtasking" that will turn me into the next Tony Robbins.
Any how, what I do in my leisure time. Well it seems as if Gather has become my pastime of choice. I guess it would be more accurate to say the computer but that's too general so I chose to pick Gather. Not that Gather is any more important than anything else but if you really think about it I suppose it is, and that is why I chose gather rather than something else, as if there really was something else, so you see it really is a difficult choice to make and I really don't know if I should or not (insert breath here) but since it is the topic of the day I suppose I should make a choice and post a comment since that seems to be the way things are done around here which makes me a little confused sometimes and when I get confused I ramble on and on and on and on (put a period here).
Does that answer your question Lydia? (sly hee hee)
Landen, are you joking or serious? (About #2... I know the answer regarding #1!)
Terry, you like that violent stuff, huh? I guess I do too - just not sports. For me it's war movies...
Donald (?) me too.
Marilyn, I hear ya. Even if you use other people's castoff stuff to make things out of you need glue or something. It's always SOMEthing.
John, hiking is nice. I did quite a lot of it when I was younger. Not so much down here.
Harrel, you never cease to bring a smile to my face.
: )
Brenda, I like to cook too. I just hate cleaning up afterward!
Harrel, we don't have White Castles down here. But we can get 'em in the frozen section of the grocery store, which I do sometimes. I remember my teenage friends and I used to refer to 'em as "deathburgers" LOL
Sherrie: ME TOO!!!
: )
Crystal, Happy Birthday! And what do you crochet?
JoAnne, what's your TV show and/or drink of choice?
Elaine, most of my writing these days IS on Gather!
Sigriet and others who listed reading: what are you currently reading?
: )
I suppose when I get a minute (maybe two) I visit Gather, check my personal email account, and maybe squeak in some time to read or play Guitar Hero. I started a book in July and haven't finished it yet, since our busy work season is 3rd & 4th quarter.
