I am seeing more and more noise on the net these days about making money by blogging. And I wonder to myself, just how hard is it?
I have been consulting as a web developer for other people's businesses for over 10 years now. My experience ranges from PHP and database programming to Flash and graphics, to Client Relationship Management and Marketing systems, including Search Engine Optimization.
Over the years, I have picked up a wide range of skills, and more importantly, experience and tools. So I have decided to apply these skills to starting a blog-type site of my own, in which I will share these tips with the rest of the world.
On this site ( http://spyderboy.com ) I will be using the very same tools I recommend, so the success of the site will also serve as proof of the quality of my experience.
I intend to write about SEO, CMS, Blogging, Easy Web Publishing, Email Marketing, and Monetizing your site through AdSense, and much more.
So why do this?
For one thing, I like to share my knowledge, and enjoy researching these subjects. It is an area I know about, and I think other people will find interesting and useful.
Of course I would LOVE for it to be wildly successful, turning me into one of those unlikely internet legends that earn hundreds of thousands of dollars a year from a very small investment of time and money.
But I am skeptical of instant, free or easy money schemes. I see this more as an experiment. What would happen if I brought my talents and experience to bear on my own web-publishing and marketing project?
Well, watch this space. I am just now starting with this, and I will be sharing with you my success and failures along the way.
As a foot note: Please visit my project, and if you find the content interesting or useful, you can thank my by clicking-through to my advertisers. I will be MOST grateful!
Best Regards,
Antonio Licon

With your experience, I would appreciate feedback on the new program. I linked to it on my page at http://robinwatts.com/ppp.aspx but have not marketed it or posted the link to my blogs.
Thanks for any input.
Robin- Hmm. As I said, I am naturally a bit of a skeptic when it comes to get rich quick, 'make money off of every visitor' schemes. Doesn't mean they don't work, it just means that I need to really trust the affiliate before getting too deeply involved. That means either doing a lot of research, or going with a program with a well established reputation, such as AdSense. I would highly recommend subscribing to blogs and sites of people who specialize in affiliate programs... such as this one by Shawn Collins: http://www.amazon.com/gp/blog/A3OUQVT95QHO1H/ref=cm_blog_dp_artist_blog
My focus is going to be on researching tools and resources that require the least amount of effort and resarch to get the maximum results.
