Winter Wonderland: photo essay

Last night a fast moving storm brought a foot of fresh powdery snow to New England. While I often complain about driving in the snow, I have to admit I am mesmerized by its beauty.  Living in New England is not always easy, but when I can walk outside and see a serene world covered in pure white powered, I have to stop and appreciate how lucky I am.







For those of you that will not have a White Christmas, I share my view

THIS one wasn't so pleasant here (a tiny bit further west and south). The stuff wasn't powdery. It was wet and slushy. Driving yesterday afternoon (my daughter just HAD to have me run an errand for her in the middle of the day. Grrrr) was a complete nightmare. I had control of the car about half the time. Held my breath the other half. I'll take that foot of powder over 6" of "grease" any day!

great pictures Linda. Driving home in that storm on Thursday was not fun. Not looking forward to tomorrow. I did all my errands today so I don't have to go out tomorrow.
