Senate republicans, by a single vote, successfully blocked an energy bill that would have extended tax incentives for renewable energy. Incentives for renwable energy sources, totalling around $24 billion, would have been offset partly by repealing subsidies and incentives for fossil fuels, which have been enjoying record profits.
The vote was 59-40 in favor of the bill, but one short of the 60 votes needed to end a fillibuster. Additionally, the Bush administration had threatened a veto. A representative from the American Wind Energy Association said, "Today's vote is out of step with Americans across the political spectrum who overwhelmingly support clean, home-grown renewable energy."
The bill is likely to be re-introduced in a stripped-down version as soon as this afternoon. Government incentives help to speed the transfer of our energy foundation to renewables, but that transfer is well underway, in any case.

Good!
Maybe now they will act like responsible representatives and present a bill that can be passed.
BTW "fillibuster" whats good for the goose is good for the gander.
BTW, democrats didn't filibuster important legislation. They filibustered shitty nominations for the courts and cabinet positions. I think it's time to pull out the nuclear option, personally. Enough of these bullshit obstructionist republiCONs. Screw them. If they can't give these bills an up or down vote, screw them. Take away their ability to even filibuster until they learn how to behave themselves.
The Democrats are experts at it, and obstructionism and blame shifting and just about every underhanded political maneuvering known to human kind.

Name the legislative bills that democrats obstructed during the previous 6 years, with filibuster.
Still checking right wing blogs eh dan ?
Senate Approves Energy Bill Without Tax Increase
I don't know about that, Sam. This story has received almost no attention at all in the "liberal media".
"Name the legislative bills that democrats obstructed during the previous 6 years, with filibuster."
Only by filibuster? Only six years?
Don,
Still checking right wing blogs eh dan ?
Nah, I'm not much of a blog fan.
The record of the Dem's and their obstructionism is well known, Superman conditionalized his question because he knows this.
Without the word filibuster in his question the list of examples of the Democrats obstructionism would be overwhelming.
