the wedding, their eyes were watching god, great expectations, native son, the learning tree, to kill a mocking bird, weathering heights, jane eyre, many others I always find that the book is better than the movie, but I still like seeing how some things in the movies translated just as I had pictured....I love when that happens!
Forrest Gump and Midnight in the garden of good and evil. Only ones I can think of at the moment. Loved Forrest Gump in book form and HATED the movie. So much of the book's life was lost in translation. As for Midnight - I like both.
Both Dennis Lehane adaptations nailed it (Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone)

I always find that the book is better than the movie, but I still like seeing how some things in the movies translated just as I had pictured....I love when that happens!
film, and the book is pretty good too.
