"A Lick of Frost"- Laurell K Hamilton

I just started this book last night and I can't put it down... Granted I am a huge Laurell K Hamilton fan... But if you are tired of how she's really been repeating herself lately with overdone descriptions and things avid readers have heard fifty times over, well this one doesn't do that... It does retrace it's steps for the new readers but not so much that you are like OK CAN WE PLEASE GET ON WITH IT... Like I said before "The Harlequin" was quite a let down but it did hold true to the anita story and the one thing I'm sure everyone was ready to get cleared up (the Richard saga) was... But this book is truly fantastic... so far... I'm more than halfway through the book but I will put in a final word when I finish...

I have never read any Laurell Hamilton but I did pick up an audio copy of either Seduced by Moonlight or A Stroke of Midnight( can't remember exactly right now but it got me hooked on Princess Meredith and the kingdom of faerie ...I want to get A Lick of Frost and read it first because I bought a copy of Mistral's Kiss and that is the next one in the story ... for some reason I thought I was getting the one after the audio book that I had... sent it to my sis in law so can't even check the name right now. Oh well thats why I have sooooo many books is because of series that I want every copy of before I start reading ... doesn't always work out but that's what I try to do.

I gotcha! :) Mistral's Kiss was very... steamy... To say the least... I still loved it... This book however seems to be about her LOVE for her men... Not her LUST

I love both Anita and Merry's series! It's been hell waiting for the next books to come out. I can't wait to find out what will happen in Swallowing Darkness! I started with Anita Blake and couldn't put them down. The same with Merry Gentry. I then read every other book by LKH. And while waiting for more started Christine Feehan, the Dark Series. Very good but reminds me of Sherrilyn Kenyon, Dark Hunter series. I highly recommend Laurell Hamilton to anyone who enjoys sex, fantasy and paranormal.
