Ages ago, I posted a picture of the preemie baby hats that I make for the local NICU and the Monkey wanted one of the Daisy hats.

 

 

 

 

 

So I made her one.

 

 

 

 

 

But not before I made something else. Just for her, because she is afterall THE MONKEY

and

the inspiration, leader, and the inventor of The Six Nickels.

So, without further ado.....

Monkey, that's only the second one of those I've ever made. I have been dying to post groupie monkey's picture and show him off.

Everyone has had a fit over that monkey. Daughter tried to steal it. Darling Husband STOLE the first monkey girl I made and won't give her back!

Monkey! You should make the Groupie Monkey into an icon like the Traveling Gnome! And send the Groupie Monkey to various Gatherers to take a picture of where he is! : )

ha! I started to put one of those one-time use digitals in the box so you wouldn't have an excuse NOT to send me a picture of the hat being worn, but I was in such a hurry to get the box in the mail that I didn't.

Nickels (and Julie) y'all come up with a name for Groupie Monkey's Gather Group so we can set one up to post his adventures to. And feel free to "borrow" the image I posted of him to set up as the icon if you set up the group.

The talk about photos with the traveling monkey reminds me of a time when my daughters were young. We were dorm parents and they loved to explore the small college campus. One day I grabbed a roll of film out of my to be processes drawer. (Both of my girls where given cameras at a young age) Anyway when I got the photos back I laughed and the girls giggled. They had taken their Cabbage Patch Kids dolls all over campus and photographed them. I still have the photos and I would love to do something fun with them.

That is one adorable monkey! And good on you for making the hats. My mom also makes the hats - 150 to date!
