(I actually wrote this article back in December and never published it. I just realized I don't know why I never did, so here it is)
I do a lot of craftsy things.
One thing I have A LOT of is beads, and I mean a lot!!
Thousands and thousands of beads, of all colors, shapes, sizes......
I don't get a lot of free time, but when I do (and when I am not on the computer) I am making something.
Aside from sewing, hairbows, magnets, and all the other stuff I make, another one of my projects was some various bead jewelry. I usually just make hemp necklaces and have been doing so for many years, but this time I decided to do something a bit different with some of my beads.
These are the necklaces that I made back in October, when the computer was broke, and I couldn't get online...
Let me tell you, it is NOT easy trying to string tons and tons of seed beeds onto monofilament (fish line) , while your daughter is trying to climb all over you, and get into your stuff, to "help" lol.
So several times I lost a whole strand and ended up resorting to only making them when she was napping, or already in bed for the night.
This one I made for myself to wear during October for Breast Cancer awareness

even tho they don't go with this article, I also made my daughter some Pink ribbon hair bows to wear:

I also made a pair of earrings that match the necklace and the hairbows :)
Then I made this silly choker for fun, for Halloween:
this one took me forever..

instead of a clasp, I used a bone:)

and a few more:

here are a few of the hemp necklaces that I have made, these are the only ones I have photos of, on my computer right now, but I have made HUNDREDS of these things, mostly given away to friends and family members, altho I have sold several too!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my stuff!
I appreciate it!

I too like to bead, and will make necklaces and braceletes & even earrings if pressed to do so. I rarely find time to do it anymore these days....and I do miss it.
Pardon the delay getting back to commenting. We've had a string of bad weather that has had us evacuating and offline. I'm doing my best to get back to you all before the promo ends - bear with me!
As a BC survivor, I love your pink ribbon work.
Thank you for sharing. They are beautiful.
Beautiful stuff!
Blessings to you and your beautiful family always... love ya...
thanks for your friendship...
I am good at making earrings though and I've given some as gifts over the years. I love making earrings.
I also love to scrapbook, altho' I am far from excellent at it. I've done a bit of painting and I love photography.
I tried to learn how to crochet but am terrible at it.
Your necklaces are gorgeous. I love the ones with the shells. They look like things I've bought in the past. Great job.
Thanks for the pictures.
