Im too a member of the Mormon church but Im inactive I was batized on the 6 June 2004 after my baptism I felt happy and had a very warm feeling it was the best day of my life!!! my husband and sons arent members but like you Im happy its true you do feel love for others welcome to the LDS family and congratulations on your baptism

My husband is a member, I am not. We are very happy together, and want to learn about and respect eachother's faiths in every way we can, while still practicing our own religion. It's worked out extremely well for both of us. There have been conflicts when some Missionaries tried to convert me, and we ended up eloping when my Presbyterian minister (who does NOT speak for all Presbyterian ministers) made a less than flattering comment about the LDS faith. We wanted both religions equally involved, or we would elope.

BUT here's the good news.

We had a second ceremony in which he read from the Book of Mormon, and I read something from the Bible that meant a lot to me growing up. We were able to teach my family a lot about the Mormon church through our ceremony that we performed on our own.

It was a really wonderful experience for us. Congratulations on finding peace.

While I may not agree with certain aspects of the Mormon church, the reasons why I will never convert, I will happily defend the church against anyone who says it's a cult. I know that it is not.

Brenda Congratulations. My memberbship in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been the best thing in my life. I have never regretted being a member. It has brought more knowledge, contentment, happiness, and joy to my life than I can describe. The feeling I got when I was baptised was one of peace and warmth. The only way I can describe it is that I knew in my heart and in my mind that I was doing what was right and that my Father in Heaven (God) was joyful of my decision. I have since been married in the Temple for time and all Eternity. Indescribable joy! To know that I can be with my family forever never to be seperated from my husband or daughter is a wonderful blessing from above! Thanks for sharing about your baptism.
