A Child’s Plea at Christmas
He just ain’t figured it out,
What this lil thing called love’s about.
Its not about phone calls saying, “I care.”
But rather a hug and always being there.
It ain’t about anger, please leave it behind.
Love’s about truth, love’s about kind.
It ain’t about shouting and calling out blame
Love’s about trust and actions in His name.
It ain’t about money and paying off debt,
A big new house or black shiny corvette.
Loves about presence, not being apart,
“I miss you ohhh Daddy,”,
said straight from
my heart.

In the line, 'Love's about truth, love's about kind.', I think the word 'being' should be inserted before kind.
