Historically, the Sixties stand out as one of the most turbulent decades of the 20th century. The music, movements and viewpoints that emerged radically changed the way people lived their lives and looked at their lives. We want to hear from baby boomers and beyond about their personal reflections about the Sixties.
Through Friday, December 14th, we will be giving away 5 copies each day of Tom Brokaw's bestselling book "BOOM! Voices of the Sixties (Personal Reflections on the '60s and Today)." All you have to do is write a short article or video about that day's topic and cross post it to Tom's group BOOM! at boom.gather.com. We will pick the winners in a random drawing. If you are from a generation that came after the boomers, we encourage you to post any thoughts you might have regarding music from the Sixties.
Today's Topic: What does music from the Sixties mean to you?
Did you go to Woodstock? Who were your favorite groups or musicians? What was the best concert you went to?
Tom Brokaw will be on Gather for a live chat about BOOM! on Monday, December 17th at 7 p.m. ET in the Books Essential. We hope that you will put it on your calendar and join us.
