I'm not afraid to tell anyone... I'm 28 years old. In my lifetime I've seen "free" things come to almost a complete stop. Anymore it seems everything "costs" something. Anyway to get to my point...
I drive a big pick up that unfortunatly has the tendency on ice and snow to "fishtail" (back end tries to outrun the front end) so my adopted brother told me he'd go with me today to Bomgar's for sand bags for the bed of the truck. They weren't expensive - which was nice. I got 5 sand tubes, 70 pounds apiece, for $16. A young man helped Patrick load them in the back (sorry I can't lift that much... I'm a pnasy girl at some things!) After they had my 5 and Patrick's 2 )for my mom's pickup) in the bed of my truck, I got in the truck.
I saw Pat talking to the guy in the rear view mirror. And then Pat gets in and says "Drive up to that door the guy is going to give us more sandbags." I guess they got a few that were opened and they can't sell them, so the guy GAVE them to us. Right now the sand is frozen so nothing is coming out of the tube, and I can zip tie the bag shut anyway if it does thaw a little! I was really impressed that we were actually getting something for free!
Has anyone else had any experience of "free" things lately?
