"The TRUTH about me and thee." - by Rene A. of Artistic Minds®
One day I hid myself and forgot where I was.
But in the mirror of my mind I could SEE myself.
Clearly, and distinctly, the door opened, and there I was . . .
STANDING in the center of myself by myself.
Within myself,
looking out at myself,
layer after layer,
unfolding and peeling,
exposing, revealing ~
the TRUTH about me.
How overwhelming -- the substance of the stuff
put away inside,
having nowhere to hide,
from self.
Once found, there I was . . .
in the middle of a place where there was an absence of sound.
Just peace.
Sweet peace.
Now KNOWING where I was hidden,
and UNDERSTANDING the value
of giving a moment of self-reflection
to the only person to whom
you owe anything to.
For when you have hidden yourself,
and you're trying to find yourself,
it is only you to whom you must answer.
May the pearl speak forth without sound,
without words . . .
The luster of the pearl hidden in a shell
is VISIBLE once the shell is opened.
It is The Pearl of Great Price
and
it is the TRUTH about me and thee.

1) Thank you;
2) When we stop to reflect we realize that it is to our own selves that we must be TRUE; and
3) True words that you've left us with . . . "we can be our own worst enemy." ~ Poet Dawn
Thank you so much for stopping by -- You know how I admire your poetics.

It is THERAPEUTIC for us to take the time to search ourselves. WE then will find that we will no longer spend so much time searching others. It is also in the details that are revealed that WE learn the ART of FINE TUNING our spirits ~ our minds ~ and our souls. It is in this way that our divine "gifts" and "talents" open up (not only to us), but also for the world to SEE.
When WE can each learn of ourselves, then we can each individually become the "WE" that we seek ~ TOGETHER ~ in PEACE and HARMONY.
Being happy and at peace with oneself is the beginning of being HAPPY and AT PEACE with ALL ELSE.
This process always begins from the inside ~ out.
The "painful" details within that you've mentioned, Renda, are the parts that ask of us to utilize each part to help others. My "pain" is someone else's "answer". How did I handle my "pain" ~ How can the same steps that I took help someone else? These are questions we must each ask ourselves as we search ourselves.
"PAIN" is always transformed into a "HEALING BALM" when understood for what it represents.
"PAIN" is a tool. WE all have different tools in our sheds -- some more than others. And, it is good to borrow from your neighbor the proper tools that you need in this life. That is why it is all about "sharing".
Thank you for your wise words Renda.
