AAAHHH!!!!!!!
there.. i feel a bit better. not much though.
at work last night, hubby ran over a screw and ruined a tire. we know that our tires are bad, but don't have money for more. i got a bonus check from work for $92, so we're going to go ahead and replace 2 tires (which is $152). but, that means that we're short on money to pay bills this month (christmas presents cost us a little over $100, because i have 7 younger siblings plus my parents to buy for, and hubby has 9 siblings plus parents). gather helped with $20 of christmas, because I got 2-$10 gift cards that i'm giving away. money is one of the main things that stresses me out. growing up, my parents never had a lot of money, so i worked for my money from the time i was 14. and i always saved! now, having a baby and a car to take care of, i don't have any money to save. we had to borrow money to pay the deposit on our apartment now, because it was $450 and we had no money. we applied for rent payment assistance, and hopefully that will come for january. i work 40 + hours most weeks and hubby works about 20. neither of us get paid holidays, so thats 3 days apiece in a little over a month that we dont get paid for. plus, i had to take a whole day off for my grandpa's funeral and my boss said we probably won't work a full day on christmas eve. as of the 15th, we'll be able to cancel our home phone (about $20 a month), but that means i won't have a phone while hubby is at work and i'm home alone with the baby. i'm not sure that's a good idea. hubby needs the cell phone for work, and it would cost us $200 to cancel it anyways. we don't have cable tv so we can't cancel that. we do have internet, but it only costs us about $30 a month and i really really don't want to cancel that unless we absolutely have to. we have a $120 car pymt, we owe our bi-annual car insurance pymt this month which is like $175. in november, we had to get the drivers seat in our car fixed, which was $140 (we couldn't drive it until this was fixed). i made a mistake (thought a check cleared that didn't) in our checking, and thought we had more than we did. so, since we thought we had enough, we bought a puppy. (after registration, food, etc, that was an extra $200 that we shouldn't have spent)
i believe that God will supply our needs, but it's really hard for me to put that belief into action and quit stressing over this. all your prayers would be very appreciated!!
sorry about the long rant, i just had to get that out!

Oh Christmas Tree what a pain you were to put up!!
The peace of mind of knowing you can call:
The police
The poison control
An ambulance
A pediatrician
Isn't that worth $20 a month?
I'm hoping that things will turn out better for you in the long run. If you don't have the money to give gifts do homemade goodies. It will be a lot cheaper and everyone loves homemade treats, I know I do.
we bought the gifts for all but like 2 people yesterday, and of course, the tire gave out a few hours later.. lol.. that's life for ya!
Best of luck to you. Where there's a will, there is a way.
Here's a 10 for you.
it is ok not to get something for everyone in your family.. and yes name drawing can be nice, but when you are in extended extended families it dont work that way... it can really suck...
Perhaps if you change your internet to dial up, you could save money and have the use of the phone when needed.
