Oprah Winfrey hit the trail in New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina this past weekend for Barack Obama. In the first-ever election where a woman has a chance of becoming president, Hillary Clinton is finding she has to fight for the women’s vote as hard as she’s fought for everything else.
Barack Obama, with Oprah now blowing wind into his sails, has his own feminist credentials. And he makes a strong case.

It seems endorsement by celebrity is almost a requirement for candidates. It garners airtime, and every bit of free airtime is a chance to get out the message. I can't blame candidates for wanting these. Kudos to the celebrities who make time to help in this process. Too bad many voters don't go beyond sound bites in making a selection.
She gave a compelling speech and the rally was well attended. I am rethinking my position and maybe will vote for Obama.
