GATHER ESSENTIALS is brought to you by Luna, one of your Gather Guides. Luna lives in New Zealand with her husband and beloved cat Mr Bill Clinton. Luna loves life and takes every day as it comes. Nothing feels ordinary to her. She is also into writing, reading, cooking, sightseeing, embroidery, internet, people, cats, chocolates, music, movies & most things you can name.

If you are anything like me, the vastness and versatility of Gather can feel a bit overwhelming when you first enter Gather-Land. There is just so much to do! So many things happening at the same time. It is really easy to lose ourselves here and completely forget about the reason we got started in the first place. I feel the Gather Essential pages act as a strong anchor for thousands of lost souls like me. These pages cover anything and everything from books to food, travel, politics, you name it!
I will select a few posts from each of the essentials group at least once every week to get your started. Hopefully you will like my choices.
Please feel free to leave us your feedback and any question on the comments section.

A very happy new year to all of you! May you have a wonderful and prosperous year and may 2008 bring you happiness, health, wellbeing and lots and lots of happy times with the people you love. All the best to all my Gather friends!

It's funny that the Books Essential article is about giving up on a book. I have to go comment there. I'm trying hard to read a book that I'm not enjoying. I have to go see how long others give a book before closing it.
Hi MaryAnne! Thanks so much for stopping by this page! Tell me about trying to keep going with a book you know is very highly acclaimed and yet not being able to get into it. At times I have to struggle on until I have read half of the book before it starts to grow on me. But it depends though, some books are just not worth the trouble..and there are so many out there! Sometimes we need to be really really choosy. :)
Happy Holidays.
Merry Christmas.
BTW did I ever ask you if you are familiar with Moosey's Country Garden in NZ? :-)
Happy Holidays,
:)
