here's an arts and crafts project that's been passed from teacher to teacher for ages. it would make a great gift from your child to their teacher OR if youre a teacher, it would be a nice project for your students to make in class to take home as a gift for their parent or guardian.
you'll need:
1 holiday mug (they should have great ones at your local dollar tree)
1 package of hot chocolate mix
3 hershey kisses
15 mini marshmallows
1 candy cane
you can package the santa soup in different ways.
1) minus the packaging, pour the ingredients in a cellophane bag, tie with some ribbon and sit inside the decorative mug.
2) minus the packaging, pour the ingredients directly into the mug, set it inside a cellophane bag and tie it with a ribbon.
3) both of the ideas above can also be done with the package intact.
when your set up is complete, add this poem:
SNOWMAN SOUP
was told youve been real good this year
im always glad to hear it
with freezing weather drawing near
you'll need to warm your spirit
so here's a little snowman soup
complete with stirring stick
add hot water, sip it slow
it's sure to do the trick!
