Gratitudes for 2007

Shannon W wrote an artilce called  What I loved about 2007.

It inspired me to make my own list:

1)The ability to become a Stay At Home Mom.  This enabled me to not only be there for my kids, but also to start volunteering at their school and become much more involved.  It also enabled me to let my son enroll in Cub Scouts and Flute lessons.

2)I reenrolled in college after a 20 year hiatus.  I should have my AA degree by this time next year!!  I was invited to join a sorority for academic excellence.  I have a GPA above 3.50.

3)I reconnected with my high school boyfriend after not seeing him for 20 years.  He moved from NY(where we grew up and he stayed) to Pa to be with me and my children.  I am so grateful for him in our lives.

 4)I started projects to improve my house.  We ripped up the carpet and to my happy amazement there were hardwood floors underneath.  I had them refinished. We painted the living room and dining room.  I had the roof replaced. I had the septic system redone and on and on and on...   My Dad is going to rip out my bathroom this spring and redo that.

5)I found Gather.  It has been so great for me.  I always wanted to be a writer.  I am not sure if I will ever be able to do that, but at least I am writing in some form again.  Not to mention all the great friends I have made and connected with here on gather.

6) I joined a Bible study group.  They are the most inspirational and best group of women friends one could hope for.  My walk with God was jump started this past year and it's brought me so much peace and joy.   

Those are my top 6!!!  It's been a busy year.  I hope 2008 is just as GREAT!!
