Being a Christian with Fibro Fog
by Marilyn Mackenzie
I finally realized something yesterday. (Hey, sometimes it takes me a while.) My fibro fog and fibro forgetfulness get in the way of life sometimes.
Often times, I'll say that I'll pray for someone, then get distracted. Soon I'll be scratching my head wondering who and what I was supposed to pray about. Oh, I know that God knows and His Holy Spirit can certainly remember much more than I can. :-)
But if I say I'm going to pray, I should be doing so, right? So, what I've started doing is stopping right away and praying.
I can't forget anymore.
So, if I say I'm praying for you, I probably already have.
Just thought you should know.
(That doesn't mean I'll not do other stupid things. Like putting the lunch meat in the drawer when I take out the scissors to cut open the package, then wondering why I had the scissors in my hand. Then, upon remembering why, wondering what happened to the lunch meat. LOL)
But by stopping everything and praying right away I cannot forget. Wonder why I didn't think of this sooner?

I usually try to stop right then and there and whisper a pray, God always knows our thoughts!!!!
