My cousin Erin, who moved out of state, just had a seizure. And the reason is still unclear. And this just happened after her sister, Denise (also my cousin Duhh) just had a mastectomy because of cancer. They're both in my prayers.

Please pray for my sister, Amy, as she battles cancer. Her fight to being a survivor has just begun.

I don t know what prayer is as such, well when you talk of praying for others. I guess I understand stilling the mind & speaking to God, but I feel weird about asking for things. I guess I believe in prayer in action. Walking in the trees & seeing the wonder of the world. Meeting all kinds of people, from all walks of life & cultures & creeds & rejoicing in diversity & our human ability to chose to embrace people rather than just reject them if we are fearful.
And instead of praying for people on the autism spectrum (and their families), I speak freely, raise awareness & understanding, and support & reassure many people that they are not just ok, but MORE than ok!!
I believe God gave me gifts & he would rather see me use them to change the world than expect him to do it.
When I was 12 I hadnt seen my favorite sister for 2 years & she wasnt sure she would make it to Christmas. That is the only time i ever prayed & asked for something. Yes she got there on time, but I have stuck to my promise of never asking for another thing :-)
I think my prayers in action are heard & work for me. i figure by how many people pray for things on here, that the old fashioned prayer must work well too though!! Thanks Linda. You are a prayer in action yourself. I see it in your efforts to be inclusive & to learn & grow & to share with others.

All I know is that God said
"Where two or more are gathered in My Name, THERE I'am also"
which means that prayer is stronger when more then one person prays for the same thing[s] and that He is there amongst us listening to our words.

And also "That which is bound IN Heaven can NOT be broken on earth"
which means that if God hears your prayers He will bind them onto the heavens and nothing on earth can break them thus making them come true.

So prayer is always good and even better when more then one prays. having said that I would like to ask for prayer, that my sinus infection clears up, and I don't have to take more antibotics which cost $188.00 for a 10 day supply. *sigh*

Kitty; you should get a nose pot. I used to suffer from sinus, as did my father. i bought a pot at a health store which clears your sinus. AND IT WORKS. I use the method only about once a month now & havent had a recurrence. And once you have bought the pot, you dont need to spend any more money!
Plus you avoid those horrid antibiotics!

It's simple for me Tad: when people pray for me, the phone starts ringing and I get emails asking me to work. When people forget about me and stop keeping me in their prayers... it stops. I just don't believe in coincidence...

EVERY time I've ever asked a prayer chain for assistance I have seen results. I won't say every prayer I've ever had has been answered, because that would be a lie. But I have enough evidence to believe that prayer does work.

Kitty, here are the exact verses I think you were talking about... from the King James Version:

Matthew 18:18,19:

18"I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be[a]bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[b] loosed in heaven.

19"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven."

And I'd like to add:
Psalm 37:4:

"Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

Please pray for my mom who is diebetic, and haven't been doing good lately. My family who aren't over 3 deaths in our family one behind each other

Diane W. the Grandmother of Jon, the 9 year old boy who was tied up in a closet by his "mother". She is seeking custody of him, and is very worried about him.

I enfold these in my prayers and ask for blessings of good to be showered on them and on you Lydia for being there for all of us. You are the answer to so many prayers.

Prayers are important and I do believe that they help!!!
I think they even help by knowing we are praying for others when we can't help them in any other way.
