Not much...just can't sleep. I've had 3 hours of sleep in the last 2 days...so I'm gonna try to actually sleep. Still a little irked about my new club allyourneeds.gather.com
I can view every page except the main page of the club so it makes it harder to approve articles. It's as if the front page of it doesn't exist at all.

I am glad this week is almost over one more BUSY day to get through and then life will be somewhat back to normal

today our local Resource center is having their holiday party (for us less fortunate folk) the kids get to do crafts and the parents get to go pick a free gift for them in a back room while they are busy. It is a great party we did this last year and the kids really had a lot of fun and Santa and Mrs C come in by fire truck and give all the kids a candy cane and you can take pic's with YOUR own camera. Which Is GREAT!!!!

My son is going to his girlfriends' (one of them anyway) sweet 16 birthday party and my husband is going to help me gear up for another week. The CNA's are already here to work on my mom, (7:30 am) and they won't be back till Sunday. Guess I'll get a chance to start shipping out my Christmas presents and maybe finally write out a few Christmas cards. Maybe.

26 year old son, who can't seem to hold a job, is now trying his hand at being a server at a local restaurant. I just keep praying he'll find his way. Thanks for the chance to rant again today. This is a wonderful service you are providing with this whining place.

I also have gratitude today for my 10-year-old granddaughter, who is visiting and watching her television shows this morning. We had a little birthday party for her last night. She is the light of my life.

Well, we'd planned to meet my son-in-law half way between Arkansas and Minnesota this weekend but, that went out the window because of the weather. My two daughters from MN were coming to spend a couple of weeks with us for Christmas....pray for clear roads NEXT weekend!

Hey, everyone. I posted this and then went to bed. Didn't get out of bed until 10:30ish. Late for me. I remember the dog barking earlier, but I knew that hubby and step-daughter were up and could take care of him.

Today I feel like doo-doo. I think I slept too long, for one thing. Woke with fibro fog. Pains in places I don't usually have pains. My joints and muscles don't seem to want to work together. Feels like I'm doing everything in slow motion. Weird.

Plus when I did get up, my eyes were almost crusted shut. Had that eye goo all over my lashes and they were almost glued together.

Coughing too. Guess I'm trying to get sick. Bad time of year for that.

Going to my niece's ice skating birthday tomorrow. What could be better than that?

Ice skating? Hmmm. I haven't done that in....35 years!

I'd love to add any of the prayer requests to my prayer chain manually... but I did put a link to here and I'm getting very sleepy. It's been a long day.

On the bright side I've made a bit of money over the past few days... a drop in the bucket but certainly better than nothing! And the phone has been ringing... (with more work) but I won't know if I am getting that job I really want until after Christmas.

I'm tired of people screaming at me at work... seriously I'm VERY sorry I don't have snow boots to fit your little darling, BUT we have had snow before now and unfortunately some people came in early to buy them... THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO...

Gosh I feel better already 8)

Marilyn, I just read your Christmas Wish List. God bless you dear! I know how you feel. I don't know if I'll ever qualify for disability. Time will tell.

I actually did pretty good today. The family went on a Garden Walk at a place where my daughter works in the summer. They had paths through the snow lit by luminaries. Along the way we stopped to listen to different groups performing: a children's bell choir, a church group singing, a puppet show playing/performing rock & roll Christmas music (they got a lot of chuckles over their antics), had some hot chocolate, crossed a lighted bridge, listened to a string quartet in the decorated greenhouse, took our picture in front of the poinsettia Christmas tree, listened to piped in music on the meandering walk on the return trip, took some pictures of icy lit trees, watched a little waterfall, and climbed a hill on the last leg of the journey. My hip was in bad pain by then, but I'm proud to say that I walked the whole thing by myself (leaning just a little on my son from time to time). It was just cold enough for hats, scarves, and gloves, and a nippy nose. Overall, a very pleasant evening. I'm going to put it up here as a photo essay pretty soon.

So what's up today? I went to church, of course, and will have my women's small group/Bible study this evening. In between, I'm planning to nap, 'cause I didn't get much sleep last night. The weather - cold and damp with lots of rain (and our backyard is now a swamp) - really gets to me. Aches and pains are magnified. Grrr.

More snow here... I missed church for the second week in a row because I was too tired / sore / afraid to drive 50 miles on snow and ice covered roads after I worked a 12 hour day. I can only hope people understand. I'm the pastor's wife and was supposed to play piano, do announcements and help serve at the fellowship hour today. Plus I missed the Sunday School, program. Guilt.

Just trying to caught up on some Gather emails. I should be working on my paperwork for tomorrow. Please cross whatever you got that this is successful for me.

Marilyn, do you have humidifier in your home? I used to wake up with those same aches, crusty eyes, dry throat, etc., and buying a humidifier has made a world of difference!
I am going to help my cousin's widow sell a new electric wheel chair, a new lift chair and whatever else we can find to help her pay bills and keep her home. Please pray for Brenda. She is a strong woman who is in a world of grief and facing extreme financial hardship. God bless her, she does not feel sorry for herself.

Moving slow here this weekend as the storms rolled in bringing the chill to my bones and dampness to my joints. Pieces parts of me ache that didn't use to thirty years ago, heck twenty years ago.

Sherrie, I'm sorry you missed church, but too much snow is a good reason.

Yes, Jan, we do have a humidifier. Whole house. Wonder if it's working. The furnace has been kicking off. Maybe the humidifier too.
