Sister Mary Corita Kent was a nun in the order of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Her artwork, which often involved silkscreen, showed themes and love and peace. She had her MA in Art History and designed hundreds of pieces of art, including the popular 1985 Love stamp. She later left the order to focus on her artwork.
Sister Corita Kent once had this to say: "Love the moment and the energy of that moment will spread beyond all boundaries."
I can relate to that. I guess we've all had times when something gave us so much joy it filled us with adrenaline rushes of enthusiasm and energy! For me, even though I've had a sinus infection for the past week and a half, and a nearly constant pressure headache, I'm trying to focus on the good things the upcoming holiday season will bring: time with my family, holiday parties at school, trimming the tree together, time off from work. Even watching "A Christmas Story" for the hundredth time! Focusing on those good "moments" helps me push through the days that aren't going so well.

(If you haven't yet, please take a look at my novel, The Friend Behind the Mask--First Chapter, I've entered it in the Court TV Search for the Next Great Crime Writer contest, and would appreciate your vote. Thanks!!!)
I tried to focus on that this past Christmas also.
