The crosses in our local graveyard are very pretty I havent had a lot of time to get out to get any photos there so these are taken from my archives of photos I took earlier this fall.
The first two photos were taken on foggy mornings I love going for a walk threw the cemetary on morning like that.

The next one is on a pretty mulit color stone, there are not may stones that are made of different color marble like this one and pieced together

This is one of the fanciest crosses in the graveyard belonging to a minister.

a celtic cross, one of my favorite cross designs. we only have two like this in the area. To see the other one click here I had posted it earler in the year on gather.

This next photo you can see 3 crosses one is a small white one and the other is a side view on a huge one.

And this one is a one of the kind one in the cemetary with a photo placed on it.

and of course I have to toss in a photo taken in the graveyard just for fun.

Hope you enjoyed this photo graveyard scavanger hunt.

Reminds me of story about a man who loved cardinals and would feed them and buy fancy bird feeders for them and when he died at his funeral sat a red cardnial singing in a nearby tree.....then after he was buried the cardnial came and flew down and landed on the headstone erected......and sang real loud, the wife said to her son, "That's Daddy singing to us to let us know he's ok" and from that day forward everytime she visited his grave site there would always be a red cardnial sitting on the tombstone singing away..........wonder if this is the case with the squirrel...too bad you didn't check the name on the stone....LOL
The last photo is a hoot, too. I doubt I would have held still long enough to photograph him as I would have been laughing too hard.
In the early 1900s cameras were consumer made and families were able to have their own snapshots.
Just a little history courtesy of my novel research hahaha.
