3 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
2 tbsps flour
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Let egg whites come to room temperature.
Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.Spray paper with pam and dust lightly with flour.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar,vanilla and salt until stiff.add sugar slowly.Sprinkle in the flour and mix in at low or fold in by hand.
Gently fold in chocolate chips and pecans.Drop small mounds on cookie sheet.
Bake at 275 for 40 minutes or until meringue is hard to the touch.Do not remove until cooled.Store covered in a dry place.This should make about 3 dozen cookies.
Just a note.I made these today and used the crisco spray with the flour in it and it worked great.Saves the flouring the pan step.
