Bah Humbug, Bank Of America

Please, let me vent.  I went to my local Bank Of America branch on Monday because I needed something notarized.  Because I don't have an account there, they refused to notarize the document.

For the past two weeks I keep getting these recorded messages on my cell phone asking me to call them in regards to a debt.  They are looking for someone named "Walter".  No human has ever called.  I can count the number of people who have my cell phone number on one hand.  They call during the day, and at night.  Same recording. 

I got fed up with it this morning.  I have a stomach bug and the call dragged me off the couch.  I called back on my house phone.  First thing they wanted was my name. I told them no, you are calling my cell phone and it is a wrong number, please make a note of it.  To which they transferred me to someone else who told me they have different departments that collect on defaulted loans, and had no idea which one was calling.  But, if you give us your social security number we can see if the call is regarding you.  Once again, I have no account with Bank of America. Nor do I want one.

She wanted me to fill out a form stopping them from offering me promotions.  I want my cell phone number removed from the list they are calling from.  No can do, I was told. Okay, then I'll just ignore the call.

How is it that Bank Of America can issue credit cards to illegal aliens with NO social security number, but they can't make a note that I am not "Walter"?  Plus, refusing to notarize a paper because I don't have an account with them.  I do not consider them part of the community, or even a good asset to have within the community, except of course for the illegal aliens looking for credit.
