Here is the before, compiments of FreePhotos.SE. It's beautiful without altering it.

 

I applied selective light adjustments and curves in NX . . . as well as render / flares - color dabs for bulb hints . . . and a frame in PS.  Here's the result:

Hi Roger:
NX is proprietary software developed by Nikon for photo-purists. You cannot heal or clone but simply adjust levels, curves, etc . . . It's called CaptureNX and is one of the better programs . . . with some bonus info for Nikon users but it can be used by people regardless of what camera they use.

There is a FREE trial version and demonstration at CaptureNX! I strongly recommend you look at it and give it a try before purchasing it. :)
