As an eBook author, I've had a crazy year. First of all, most of my books now are going into print, and I've even seen some of them available on bookstore shelves! Awesome!
But 2007 in particular was particularly grueling. Any aspiring author might stare in awe at my books that were released in months past, but honestly, it was seriously hard, with all the writing, promoting, attending chats...
Word of advice. If you plan on becoming an author, take things slow and don't over-extend yourself. That's what I did this year, and now I can honestly say I'm THANKFUL 2007 is over with. GACK! Let's take a look at my book schedule, shall we??

Yes, *8* books, folks. Can you just imagine the promotional nightmare? I'm ready to fall over dead, I tell you. I'm not complaining, per se, but seriously, I don't know what the heck I was thinking this year.
Next year, I'm planning on taking things MUCH easier, if you can call three contracted books and a shot for Harlequin's Silhouette Desire line "taking things easy". LOL Perhaps I thrive on chaos. Perhaps I love being under pressure, who knows. But dear Gawd, I don't think I will ever do that again. Whew! I think the fans are getting sick of me... Heheheh

Still, I think you're smart to take it slower this year.

Emily Parker is a young widow with three kids who's accepted her lot that no man in his right mind would look twice at her. What single man wants to be saddled with an instant family? She doesn't want a fling. Stability and permanence is what she's looking for, as well as a man who is willing to be a father figure.
Once she meets David Callahan, he steals her heart almost from the first. But there's a catch. He has a strict 'no kids' policy with regards to women. Yet Emily has definitely caught his eye. Despite her children, he's vowed to get to know her better, and gives her a shoulder to cry on.
When their relationship evolves to the next level, Emily tells David that she wants a man who will take care of both her and her kids. It doesn't help matters any that he is an aspiring musician with a chance to make it big. But when she finds out she's pregnant with his baby, which will he choose—fame or family?
