My VOAT Photo Contribution

Here is the before, compiments of FreePhotos.SE. It's beautiful without altering it.

I adjusted the curves to  give it a night feel. I cut the angel from a Victorian postcard.

The ornaments are flowerballs that I make from photos of flowers. (I have an article on how to do it .) 

I went through and used the "render" option in Photoshop and then chose "omni" to give each ball a glow. 

I made a tube ( I guess) from another Victorain card for the tree top.

Each light on the tree is a tiny lens flare ( under "render - lighting effects in Photoshop) .

I then used the omni light again to brighten up the angel on the right and the tree line.

whoa,toots!....you went from not being able to use tubes to this in a flash!...very impressive variation and love the tree topper angel....stellar job!

Gayle, it's not that I didn't know how to use tubes. I just couldn't find the darn things after uploading them and when I did they weren't in the right format anymore. So, I made my own. I guess they are nothing more than a cutout on a transparent background.

I am no photographer but I am learning a lot reading peoples articles on photography and what they have done and it is fascinating. It amazes me that some of you know how to do all of this. I hope you post some more. Some day I might give it a try.
