Christmas Cookies - Chocolate No Bake Cookies

This is one of the Christmas Cookies that has been passed down through my family to make. It is one of my favorites, plus, I don't have to use the oven to make these. It only dirties up one pot and a bowl!

Chocolate No Bake Cookies

2 C white sugar

1/4 lb margarine

1/2 C milk

1/2 t salt

Cook together until sugar is melted and misture comes to a boil. Add 3 C quick oats, 1C shredded coconut, 1 C chocolate bits, 1/2 C chopped nuts, 1 1/2 t vanilla. Stir until chocolate bits are melted. Then drop by teaspoon onwax paper until set. This is more like a candy than a cookie. Also butterscotch bits may be used.

Sounds very easy so I will Feature ir today at Letitout.gather.com! I love the cooking. My own Recipe's of sauces will be complete in 45 days. This is one of my favorite no bake cookie recipes. I have never made them with coconut, which is rather surprising since I LOVE coconut!
