HORSEBACK JACK

Its just ridin' in a circle,
dont matter what the track
Just lead me over to the horse
and throw me on his back

Dont tell me how to ride him
I wont listen to what you say
Just have him ready to run his race
And then get out of my way

I learned early how to horseback
and I learned how to ride em so
we get down to the very last part
and my horse still has some go

And if you've done your job right
and I do the same with mine
I'll meet you over at Auerbachs,
and we'll share a bottle of wine

And we'll drink to the race that we just won
and the ones we'll win down the road
and we'll raise a glass to the good ones gone
and all the great folks that we knowed

I love to ride them horses
and they love old Horseback Jack
and I'm gonna keep on ridin'
till I can't get on their back
