What a Day. . . . . And it's not even half over yet!

This morning I woke up, even though I barely slept last night, got my girls ready for school and dropped them off.  Decided I would go food shopping even though I wasn't in the mood.  Figured maybe I would buy less this way?  Didn't work though :)  As I am carrying the last couple of bags inside, I manage to step in dog crap.  Which totally sucks because no one here even has a dog, so somebody from somewhere else let their dog crap in front of our place and didn't clean it up.  Shouldn't be surprised though, they do it all the time at the school.  Can't tell you how many times I have stepped it in there too!  Needless to say, if you want to check for dog crap, let me walk there first.  I will definitely step in it and find it for you!!!!

Less than an hour later, I get ready to pick my youngest up from school.  Got my purse, my jacket, and my water bottle.  I grab the mail on the way out and shut the door . . . . just as I realize I do not have my car keys (or house keys) with me!  Since we rent the top floor of a two family house, I knew my landlord was home.  Trouble is, his doorbell doesn't work so I had to call him.  Only had my cell on me but don't have his number in it (plan to rectify that though), my husband does.  So I had to call my husband at work to have him call the landlord who is only downstairs.    He tries all the keys he has but still can't find the key to our house.  Now, at this point I have only about 5 minutes to pick up my daughter and the school is a mile away with at least 3 or 4 traffic lights and just as many stop signs to walk through.  Thankfully, my landlord lent me his car, carseat equiped and all, to pick my daughter up so I didn't have to walk there and she didn't have to walk back.  When we got back, he was outside, thankfully, with the right key this time.  Otherwise I would have had to wait an hour (or more) for my husband to get home and let us in and then he would have to drive an hour back to work.  And it is way too windy out today to wait outside.  And I'm sure he didn't mind not having to waste a trip.

Right now I am waiting for the last bad thing to happen today.  And holding my breath that it's something little.  Things do come in three's!  Although I am hoping that I will be wrong this time and nothing else will happen.  In the meantime, I have to work in doing some laundry and finding time to play some games with my little one.  She is patiently waitng right now for me to be done so we can play together.
