I used to pen pal a lot years back, but it got very time consuming and costly. I do kinda miss it though. I had some in England and other countries as well as in the states.

I used to have tons of pen pals growing up, but then we all switched to email. I got most of mine as a scout and I did a lot of traveling, I still keep up with lots of them and it has been years.

I used to have a few pen pals but anymore I don't hardly write letters. I did send out 2 letters to sailors in Iraq the other day and I hope I will find new pen pals in them 8)

Wow, I have not done it in years. I try to write real letters to some of my friends every couple of months though.

I don't think I ever got into the pen pal thing. But thanks to e-mail and sites like Myspace it's a lot easier to keep in contact with people.

If I want a letter to be really personal I think a written one is best. Also writing a letter seems to bring out a different warmer me. I would like a pen pal. I have to ponder that.

I tried a few of the penpal groups, but it just doesn't seem to be working, so I left the groups.

I had no friends growing up. But I did have over 50 pen pals. My dad worked at the post office, so it was convenient to get stamps. He never complained because I suppose it was an inexpensive hobby considering I did not do sports. I would love for my niece to have a pen pal.

I still pen pal, Lora! I really enjoy getting REAL letters in the mail. Anyone who has told me they want to be just want to be "Email pals" just start sending me nothing but forwards after one or two notes! :(
