Getting Connected

Hey everyone,

I recently joined your group and look forward to getting to know the readers and writers "out there". I just signed up with Gather when I entered the Court TV Crime Writers Contest and have been looking around for people to connect with. I live just outside Minneapolis. I have been writing for over ten years and have written two complete novels and started several others. One story is entitled INTIMATE MURDER (the novel entered into the contest), and the other is CONFINED, a commercial/literary/women's fiction piece.

Many of you have already read, rated, and commented on my contest chapter and I want to thank you for that. It's been a rewarding experience. I love the comments from readers and writers alike, each provides a unique perspective.

I look forward to giving feedback on your articles and helping writers newer to the craft. I also look forward to your feedback on my own work. I will soon post a chapter from CONFINED for anyone interested in providing comments. I also look forward to more of your comments on INTIMATE MURDER.

I joined today and i am finding my way around, haven't joined any groups yet. When I am feeling brave I may put in some writing. Everyone seems friendly so hello fellow newbie glad to meet you .

It is so nice to have a quick response from both of you Ness and Linda! Hello to both of you and I look forward to connecting with you.
Ness, I know what you mean about having to be brave to put writing out for everyone to see, it is quite daunting. I have readers who review the work I write on a regular basis, and I'm always scared to death of what they are going to say--and I've been doing this a long time. It may have gotten easier after posting INTIMATE MURDER in the Crime Writers Contest. You have to put up a strong front, or else not compete!

Good luck, Rita. I am still trying to get through all of the chaps. I'll add you to my ever growing list of to read as I can't possibly get to them all. Having recently participated in the Romance First Chaps, I know what it is like to try and get readers and votes.
