What are the Hottest Toys this year?

I have 3 children.  They are aged 17, 8 and 3.  In the years past I have always know what the hot toys of the Christmas season were because I worked in retail.  This year I'm stumped.  Does anyone know what the hot toys are this year?

Nintendo Wii is very hot. Anything to do with HSM and Hannah Montana is selling like hotcakes.

If they have a video game system I would recommend Guitar Hero for the older one. For the younger ones I have no idea. I know what kids like but I'm scared to buy my nieced and nephews toys this year with all the recalls. Good luck

I was just about to say that my son (he is five) is wishing for transformers, oh and then there are these air planes and helicopters that can fly (they are not sturdy at all though, so we wont be getting any).

My nephew Ryan is getting the Wii from his grandmother.
I am going to give my granddaughters who's 9 a ninteno ds. She'll like the brain games.

Wii's are hot. Transformers are hot for younger kids. In my book, any toy made in the U.S.A. is hot.

I think Mary K is right.
Nintendo Wii is very hot. Anything to do with High School Musical and Hannah Montana is selling like hotcakes. Guitar Hero is popular, Mario Wii games.

I am so clueless! I bring the grandkids for a window shopping venture. I make a mental note about what sparks their interest. We love to give them something that brings a smile. We tell them to look at what they like. But, advise them to not only look at the most expensive stuff. They know we can't afford to buy it for them. They look at the lest costly items too.

Definitely Wii, Guitar Hero (which can be found at our local music stores), anything Hannah Montana or The Jonas Brothers, Harry Potter, and High School Musical. Apparently the IPODs are not as hot as other MP3 players this year.

I'm not sure about the younger ones, but for the older one I'd recommend some sort of video game system, like Xbox, Playstation, or Wii. If he already has one I'd recommend Guitar Hero, Super Mario Galaxy, or Call of Duty.

That smart cycle thing and the cartridges that go with it. For ages 4-7 I think. Then, there's those little games (inexpensive) that hook up to the TV that are very nice.

A wise, older friend of mine once told me "something to read, something to wear and a little bit of money." I like that idea. I also do gift cards heavily. It's what most kids like anyway.
