Conservatives in the Anglican Church of Canada are considering dropping out and joining Anglicans in South America. The province of the Southern Cone of the Americas said it would accept Canadian churches that are in "serious theological dispute" with their dioceses or with the national church over the role of gays in the denomination. Two Canadian Anglican bishops already have joined the South American province.
The worldwide church has been at war with itself over the role of gays in the denomination since the election of Gene Robinson in 2003 to be Bishop of New Hampshire, the first openly gay man to be made a bishop in the Anglican faith.
Gay marriage has been legal in Canada since 2005.

Why should the chruch tell anyone who they can and can not marry, when most of the churches themselves have so many issues?
When you meet him, he doesn't present as a major sh*t disturber ...LOL Appearances can be decieving.
As long as "Power" is their drug; they will never achieve true spiritual transcendence.
The Anglican church has been beaten up by this controversy; yet they will survive, and have been very brave to do what they have done for so many people. I never had any contact with Anglicans until I spent a lot of time in Canada. Generally, they seem a lot like the Methodists......i.e. the do, rather than talk about things all the time.
It will be interesting to see where it all goes, eh?
:-)
