This is another candy recipe we've made at Christmas and I think it was also in the Christmas Goodies Cookbook. This might be another good one to make with the kids since they could help roll the balls. It really does taste similar to a Mounds Candy bar.
Mounds Candy
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 can Eagle brand condensed milk
1/2 block paraffin wax
1 12 ounce bag of chocolate morsels
Mix well all of above, add 1 large bag coconut and roll into balls. Refrigerate about 1 1/2 hours. Melt in top of double boiler the bag of chocolate morsels and 1/2 block wax. Dip balls into chocolate mixture and place on wax paper.

ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh candy
these sound like a winner
Rose, you do use a whole bag of coconut. It's not listed in the first set of ingredients but in the directions it says to add one large bag of coconut.
It might work without the wax Madame Donna. I do know the wax helps them to set up quickly and makes them look shiney.
MarS, they taste good too.
Samantha, J, and Rebekka, if you like Mounds you'd like these.
Donna and Connie, glad to hear someone else made these too.
Alexis, they are a winner for sure.
